Past Projects. Lasting Blessings.

We were honored to build this deck almost two years to the day after the May 2024 tornadoes impacted this community.

We first met this couple while responding to the need for supplies and assistance after the storms. At that time, we were able to help temporarily tarp their roof after it had been torn off by the tornado. Since then, we have continued to check in on our neighbors to the north.

During a visit in March 2026, it became clear that their existing deck had become a serious safety concern. The boards were rotting, lifting, and no longer safe for daily use.

After just a few phone calls, this amazing team of volunteers stepped in without hesitation. They donated more than a full day of labor, along with their expertise, hard work, prayers, personal funds, and time away from their families.

This is what community looks like. This is Faith in Action. This is how Battles turn to Blessings.

He asked through tears, overwhelmed by the kindness shown to him and his wife.

“I’m not sure how to thank you. Your crew is amazing, and I cannot begin to thank you enough.”

We continue to receive updates, thanks, and messages that share how happy they are to spend time on their new deck.

In moments like this, we are reminded why kindness and compassion matters. Sometimes restoration is more than rebuilding what was broken. Sometimes it is reminding someone they have not been forgotten.
